Research Staff Member - Data Privacy.

IBM Research - Ireland is seeking experienced researchers to contribute to our research in data privacy in large scale and complex environments. Our research program in data privacy has widespread application to individual and enterprise privacy and we are inviting researchers with proven experience to join us.
As an IBM researcher you are expected to be able to understand, and formulate solutions to, complex problems. You are expected to demonstrate how your research can impact our products, services and be applied to solve customer problems. We expect you to continue to grow as an active member of the research community. We offer successful candidates an opportunity for impact across a wide range of use cases from domains such as healthcare, telecommunications and internet of things.

Required:
  • PhD Degree in one of the following domains: Data Privacy, Information Theory
  • At least 2 year’s post-doctoral experience.
  • Strong publication record in top-tier research conferences and journals
  • At least 3 years’ experience in programming in Java or Python
  • English: Fluent
  • Strong communications skills with an ability to explain the motivation, method and impact of your work.

Preferred:
  • Demonstrate experience in some of the following domains: data privacy, anonymization, data mining algorithms, machine learning, internet of things, healthcare analytics
  • Evidence of strong software engineering and development skills
  • Demonstrate a strong track record with H2020 projects or similar sources of research funding
