Data Scientist ( IBM Singapore Lab )

IBM is seeking candidates for a Research Data Scientist at the IBM Singapore Lab.

The candidate is expected to participate in research and client projects and contribute towards the development of relevant applications. The selected candidate will work with a team of researchers and software developers on projects that will utilize the candidate's data analysis and programming skills.

We are interested in candidates with a proven background and experience in dealing with one or more areas of data analytics and are especially interested in candidates with experience implementing innovative solutions with real-world data.

Required:
-Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Math or Physics.
-Python, C/C++, Java or other programming languages. (Production level coding)
- Familiar with at least one Machine Learning library/framework
- Experience of designing a scalable solution with proficiency in use of data structures and algorithms
- Data pipeline engineering skills: Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, Elastic Search etc.
-Experience with Predictive Modeling/ Time Series Geo-spatial Modeling
- Self motivated, Strong communication and team building skills
- Work iteratively in a team with continuous collaboration
